NYT’s food blog Bitten changed pace and posted this beautiful aerial photograph of tulip fields in the Netherlands.

This one’s not about food, but it is about farming on a massive scale. The products in question are tulips, both cut flowers and bulbs, which are among the Netherlands’ main exports — but a few stems in the $40 billion global flower industry. The tiny white dots in the pale yellow patch at the bottom are farmers.
