According to Dwell, James Dyson is bringing his vacuum technology to the automotive world and developing “a new generation of solar-powered, electric cars.”

Dyson believes that his lightweight, high-power motor will be able to increase an electric cars’ speed and mileage-per-charge. “Most of the time a car isn’t being used,” Dyson told the Independent. “So a photo voltaic [solar] charge over a long period of time is an absolutely suitable way of charging a car.”
